Baikonur Metro Station (Red Line)

Baikonur is one of the Stations along the  Almaty Metro Network. This is a very futuristic station, fitting in with its name Baikonur, which is the site in Kazakhstan where the main Rocket Launch Facility in Central Asia is located. While you wait for you next train to arrive you can watch a film of Rockets taking-off from the facility.  Located within a 5 minute walk of this station is Astana International Hotel, Grand Aiser Hotel.
